Notonthesamepage won the first Kentucky Derby prep race, $100,000 Spectacular Bid Stakes at Gulfstream Park last Saturday. Notonthesamepage proceeded to romp by 8 1/4 lengths in a final time of 1:08.48, just missing the track record by .02.

With this first stakes victory on his resume, Notonthesamepage increased his earnings to $109,078 from his 6-2-1-1 record. He broke his maiden impressively in his second career start last April, powering to a track-record score in a 4 1/2-furlong event at Churchill Downs. Notonthesamepage went on to finish a clear second in the Tyro Stakes and fifth to Vineyard Haven in the Hopeful Stakes. Stretching out to two turns in the Breeders’ Futurity, Notonthesamepage set the pace before tiring to finish last of 11.
